Verdict

After a close second to Cayenne Pepper at Tipperary, Royal County Down was long odds-on for a Down Royal maiden but only scrambled home. There should be more to come though the concession of weight to JUSTINA may prove beyond him. Jessica Harrington's filly made a successful debut over this trip at Roscommon before just failing to hold Lougher over a mile at Killarney. Yesterdayoncemore, twice runner-up over 5f at Dundalk, performed with credit over 6f in Group company later so will relish this drop in class while Aidan O'Brien also runs Mythologic, who looked a likely future winner after his first two starts but ran poorly at Naas.
