In depth

Verdict

SCOTSIRISH doesn't win often these days but is invariably competing at a much higher level as he did with a fine run in the Plate. He found 2m1f too short here a few days later and this is his trip. He'll take some beating though Lenabane wasn't too far behind him when he was successful at Punchestown in May but was receiving 17lb at the time. Ballyholland wasn't disgraced in the Plate on his first start since April and has a C&D victory to his credit. He could prove the biggest threat to the selection.
