Verdict

This has been won by some decent performers including Wicklow Brave for Willie Mullins. The champion NH trainer has the newcomer Poet Power engaged here and she's related to several winners, though this looks a tough start. Gordon Elliott has a couple of first-timers engaged and Jamie Codd's presence on board Boris Grishenko suggests the well-connected son of Sixties Icon may prove better at this stage than Lisa O'Neill's mount Mount Guista. Analytical Mindset made a promising start at Cork under Derek O'Connor, who takes the ride again, but the form pick has to be CHESS GRAND MASTER, who took some time to get going at Killarney but was staying on with good effect and will know much more today. Dermot Weld's newcomer Distribution is one to keep an eye on in the market.
