In depth
Verdict
Another tough handicap in prospect with several possibles but the vote goes to Razkalla while Researched, Rawyaan and First Ballot are others to consider while Tuesday's course and distance winner, Darasim, is another to note. David Loder's charge, the winner five of his seven starts, has quickly developed in to a smart middle distance performer, having recorded back-to-back Listed victories at Leicester and Newmarket in June. There should be further improvement to come from this lightly raced sort who looks capable of carrying top weight to victory under Frankie Dettori. Researched was well below his best last time but has strong claims on previous efforts this term including a gallant display to land a competitive handicap at York on his reappearance. Rawyaan was a progressive type last season and took a valuable handicap at this fixture twelve months ago but hasn't fulfilled his potential this term and is probably best watched. First Ballot is a tough front runner who has proved a model of consistency and won't be easy to peg back while Darasim took this event last year and is only 3lb higher so has to be feared particularly after a convincing success earlier in the week but Razkalla has a touch of class and can take the honours.
