Verdict
After repelling all-comers over this trip at Ascot, THEMAXWECAN (NAP) went down with all guns blazing over 1m6f at Newmarket and could be another for the Johnston-Doyle combination. What A Welcome has dropped a further 2lb since his third at Ascot and is edging towards a winning mark while Seinesational went close over 2m4f at the Festival here in July, though has been raised 4lb since. Platitude is a past winner here but Nakeeta is looking a light of former days and Smart Champion has a lengthy absence to overcome.
