      Verdict

      The Thunderer invariably gets left at the start but came with a late rattle to score at Wolverhampton though his rider claimed 5lb that day and he has a 5lb rise to contend with. AGE OF SAIL is up 8lb for his victory at Chepstow but arrives with a 5lb penalty so looks well in. Billy Loughnane has been booked for Later Darling, who scored with a bit in hand on fast going at Brighton but Whimsy is in poor form and is overlooked despite dropping in the weights.
