Verdict
CUT THE CACKLE is a consistent type and can take this at the main expense of Rio Royale and Fantastic Dubai. A winner at Salisbury earlier in the season, Rio Royale has gone up the handicap as a consequence, but showed he can acquit himself well at this mark, when a good second at Folkestone recently, denied room at a crucial stage. Since taking a Lingfield maiden in March, Fantastic Dubai has gone up 8lbs without winning, thanks to two fine efforts in defeat. That may turn out to be prohibitive. Twice a winner last season, Cut The Cackle was not disgraced in a hot Sandown handicap on his re-appearance, and was outpaced by a decent type when runner-up on the all-weather. Cut the Cackle can do his own talking here.
