Verdict
Best Before seems the most logical pick for the nightcap although Omaha City and Epheseus have claims. Best Before comes here in fair form and having scored a convincing victory at Windsor under this apprentice, there should be no problems in terms of trip or going. Omaha City regularly runs his best races here. He isn't getting any younger and any encouragement through his descent down the handicap should be put against his advancing years. Epheseus has always threatened to win a big race and should have no problems with this step back up to a mile. Competitor is unexposed and could quite literally be anything. We will stick with proven form and go with Best Before.
