Coup D'Etat gets the vote over unexposed rivals Art Work and Postgraduate. It will also be interesting to see if any money comes in for Doctor's Cave, who was a shock winner of a decent maiden here last year. He obviously handles the track and could pull something out of the bag now that the handicapper has started to relent with him. Postgraduate had Elgin Marbles well behind him when he won a Novice Stakes when he was last seen out. It has to be of interest that Hughie Morrison has held on to him for his turf debut until now he looks a bright prospect for handicaps this term. As does Art Work, who won well at Nottingham a fortnight ago a is open to further improvement. However, she faces a stiff test for her handicap debut against the colts and could find a least one is too wily for her at this stage. We anticipate that Coup D'Etat could be the one to have enough experience to counter his less exposed rivals and John Dunlop's charge gets the nod today. The soft ground was not to his liking when he flopped at Newbury last month and he is forgiven that run. Another positive factor is the jockey booking. Richard Quinn is one of the more profitable jockeys to side with around Goodwood and the Scotsman looks to have another willing partner in Coup D'Etat today.
