Official ratings suggest Mirage Dancer should take this after going up 2lb for his narrow defeat in an Ascot Listed race though that was on fast going and he hasn't run as well on ground with some give. EUGINIO gets the nod as he won two Class 2 handicaps last summer, one on soft going, and looked as though he needed further when third in a 1m1f Group 3 at Newmarket on his reappearance. Blakeney Point hasn't run since landing a soft-ground Class 2 handicap at Leicester in October but reappeared with a victory last season so the lack of a run shouldn't prove a problem. Curbyourenthusiasm is a decent stayer but hasn't won since scoring over 1m6f at Chelmsford in 2016 but Duke Of Bronte, though having plenty to find on official figures, will enjoy the conditions and is no forlorn hope.
