Verdict
Unless any of the newcomers is anything special, Love Thirty should be capable of losing her maiden tag, with Honey Ryder and Encouragement taken to chase her home. With well-bred debutantes such as Cape Columbine and Flaunt N Flirt lining up, the market should be closely watched, but on the evidence so far, Love Thirty should take the beating. Mick Channon's filly went down narrowly to a Godolphin inmate on the second of her two starts at Yarmouth, but it was her latest effort at Newbury that indicates she is going to be hard to beat. That run came in the Watership Down Stud Sales race in which she finished a close fifth behind the useful Salamanca, with three of her stablemates ahead in second, third and fourth. She now takes a drop in grade and should quite simply outclass the opposition. Honey Ryder was 14th at Newbury so is held, while Encouragement showed promise when making a lot of the running at Newmarket last time. That form pales into insignificance compared to that of the selection though, and it will be major surprise if Love Thirty does not slam her opponents today.
