Verdict
It would be no real surprise if Godolphin churned out another first-time-out winner, and Double Deputy is the pick to make a winning debut over Royal Lustre, and Polar Dancer. Double Deputy is sure to be well tuned up for his introduction, and the son of Sadler's Wells, a half-brother to Lend a Hand, has been found a suitable opportunity to make his mark early. John Gosden's colt Royal Lustre was put in his place here last time behind Corsican Native, and this half-brother to Lammtara looks woefully one-paced. Amanda Perrett's Polar Dancer was further behind in third that day so is another not to rely on at present. In fact the more one looks at the exposed form on view, the easier it is to nominate Double Deputy, who probably would not have to be very high in Godolphin's pecking order to take what on paper is a moderate affair to say the least.
