In depth

Verdict

Sir Geoffrey looks more than good enough to land this opener at the expense of Kheylide and Mabait. The selection has caught the eye on both his outings to date and managed to improve from his debut over this course and distance to finish second to Solo Attempt at Kempton earlier on in the month. In the context of this race he looks the form pick and if improving once more he will take all the beating. Kheylide will be worth noting after showing his first sign of promise when third of thirteen at Ripon at a big price. Mabait is in an interesting newcomer coming from a top yard and would have to be no world beater to figure in a race like this, but for the winner we return to Sir Geoffrey.
