Verdict
Three recent winners catch the eye here, and from a shortlist of Bolckow, Forrest Flyer and Master Nimbus, it is the latter who can win again. Fresh from a ten-length romp at Ripon, John Quinn's experienced gelding must be considered a major danger under a 6lb penalty. A return to this trip should not pose any problems and having won off a mark of 113 over hurdles, he should be capable of running well off this mark before the handicapper goes over the top. Bolckow has not had the best time of things in recent seasons but he has shown recently that he is back on song and he never looked like being pegged back recently at the track. Forrest Flyer was a convincing winner recently at Ayr and he has claims; however that was his first win in 12 starts and he is unlikely to get his own way in front today. Bollin Thomas, seen more recently over the sticks, is one to watch in the betting, and along with Spume he could snatch a place. A decent start, but Master Nimbus can teach them all another lesson.
