In depth

Verdict

Miss Daawe has the best credentials to land this opening lady riders handicap for the father and daughter combination of Brian and Lorraine Ellison. Although the selection has only one career win in the book, she has bags of early toe which will suit over this sharp five furlongs and a low draw will enable his capable rider to bag a rails position. Thomas Malory was noted doing his best work in the closing stages at Musselburgh last time but this five could well prove to be on the sharp side while Maggie Kate displayed plenty of early dash when second at Sandown on her return to turf. Baybshambles races off a career high mark once again here but would have place claims along with Thoughtsofstardom who is best suited by a fast five furlongs. Miss Daawe is the vote to come home in front.
