Verdict
Wise Hawk is given the vote to land this three year old handicap where the main dangers appear to be Willkandoo and Avertis. Attempting the mile for the first time here, indications and breeding suggest that should suit Wise Hawk and this is confirmed in examining his four maiden outings. A mark of 70 may not allow connections too much leeway but the yard are bang in form. Willkandoo was the very easy winner of a Hamilton handicap, the second placed horse having a career record of 1 from 31 which gives a better indication of the strength of the form. The unbeaten Avertis is another to consider and he brings strong form to the table here. There was a lot to like about his victory last time and a 6lb should not over burden this improving sort. Titfer and Tamara Moon are others of note but Wise Hawk is given the nomination.
