In depth

Verdict

Grand Opera, Doctor Scott and Portcullis are the three to consider here with preference for Grand Opera. Kevin Darley, in good form at the moment, takes the ride on Mark Johnston¿s debutant Doctor Scott. He is well related to both staying winners and sprinters and could be anything. A strong market move should be heeded as the yard is capable of producing two-year-olds ready to win. Michael Jarvis sends Portcullis all the way from Newmarket and following a good third on his debut at Headquarters, where he was staying on at the finish, he must go close here. For the selection though, we turn to Grand Opera. Following a good second on his debut, he ran well to be third to Silent Times at York and that race is producing winners. Grand Opera can take this.
