In a very competitive finale, Soaked gets a narrow vote ahead of Chispa, Regal Song and Whistler. David Chapman's gelding is ten years old now, but still a good sprinter at this level and he followed a very game victory at Musselburgh by making most before claiming fifth spot in a big field at Pontefract on Monday. Clearly on good terms with himself, he seems sure to give a good account here. Chispa won a claimer over six furlongs at Windsor a couple of starts ago, but has been equally effective over the minimum trip in the past and is one for the shortlist, as is Regal Song. The latter goes well here, is well treated on his best form and showed when second at Thirsk recently that his time may not be too far away. Whistler is a fair sort who has to come behind, and with a number of speed merchants here the race could be set up for Milton Bradley's charge, so he is another to keep on the right side in what should prove to be an exciting finale.
