    Verdict

James Bethell's Leighton is the best treated of these judged by official BHB ratings but has not given much sign of encouragement of late and preference is for Oldenway, who gets the vote over Millagros. The last mentioned goes well round here but Ian Semple's filly needs to step up on recent form to trouble the selection, who has an obvious chance. Oldenway seemed not to stay 1m4f at Haydock last time and should do better back over today's trip and a reproduction of earlier form at Beverley and Redcar should suffice. Jamestown and Stepastray have plenty to find at the weights, while the less exposed Sharabad needs to improve significantly to trouble Oldenway, who should be hard to beat.
