In depth

Verdict

All Night Dancer can pay a compliment to stablemate Damson by taking the prize back across the Irish Sea, with Bright Moll the main danger ahead of Rockburst. David Wachman is starting to emerge as a young trainer to watch, and the Royal Ascot victory of Damson did nothing to harm his reputation. His representative here, All Night Dancer, should be capable of improving on her performance in Listed-company behind Damson at Naas, having earlier made a winning debut at Navan. This is a drop in class, and she would surely not be sent over if they did not think that she was up to it in her first season. Strictly speaking, she has much the same chance as Bright Moll who coincidentally, also finished seven lengths behind Damson in the Queen Mary. Michael Bell's charge carries five pounds less than the selection, but All Night Dancer is having only her third start today so has slightly more improvement to come. African Breeze won well enough at Redcar, keeping on well at the finish. She should stay the extra furlong, as should Rockburst who made all at Hamilton. An interesting fillies' event can go to All Night Dancer.
