        Verdict

        Genghis may be the one to stop My Legal Eagle from completing a four-timer, with Dr Sharp and Northern Nymph not out of it either. The final race on the card is probably the best in terms of quality, and with most of them in a bit of form at least, only a modest vote goes to Genghis on the strength of his second to Wait For The Will at Newmarket last week. Hughie Morrison's five-year-old tried to make all on his return from a 426-day absence, but could not repel the challenge of Wait For The Will, going down narrowly at the finish. That was only his fourth career start and it surely will not be too long before he goes one better judged on that effort. My Legal Eagle has been in top form, and incredibly is still well handicapped compared to four years ago. In his current mood, Richard Price's ten-year-old will go close, but all good runs must come to an end, and we will take him on here. Dr Sharp was just held by Glory Quest at Doncaster and the slightly shorter journey should help, while Northern Nymph finished much further behind Gay Kelleway's charge at Haydock so in turn is held by Dr Sharp. Red Scorpion did not get the best of runs behind Dorothy's Friend at Newmarket and should not be ruled out either, but in a hard one to call, we shall side with Genghis.
