CAPTIVATOR, No Mean Trick and Official Style catch the eye here, with preference for Captivator, who can underline the promise shown on his debut at Yarmouth. Sir Michael Stoute's Official Style will be a popular choice, but he disappointed badly last time when made favourite for a York handicap, and although this is a major drop in grade, a watching brief is advised. No Mean Trick has been placed on both his starts to date, third when last seen in December. The first and second have won subsequently and despite his absence from the track he can give a good account. Captivator made an eye-catching debut at Yarmouth, starting slowly and overcoming trouble in running to stay on strongly, finishing a close third. A winner has come out of the race, and receiving 5lbs from her main rivals, Captivator can fulfil that promise.
