Verdict

PLYMOUTH ROCK, Bavarian Nordic, Lady Éclair and Wicked Daze are all in good form, but Plymouth Rock may be well treated and can take the finale. Lady Éclair scored in good style at Newcastle on Saturday, and runs under a 6lb penalty. However, earlier running with Wicked Daze suggests she may have something to find. Wicked Daze has been running consistently, but has looked a little one paced and prefers the all-weather where the seven-year-old has amassed six wins, as opposed to one success in 19 turf runs. Bavarian Nordic has not won since 2008 but there was a lot to like about his staying on third last time out. The fourth, Inspirina, took a decent Chester handicap on Saturday, and he looks set to enjoy this extra quarter mile. Plymouth Rock is much less exposed than the opposition here having run only four times and he tries an extra half a mile here, so his stamina has to be taken on trust, though by Sadlers Wells he may well see out this trip. His fourth to Itlaaq here last time has turned out to be a fine run, with a number from that race running well since. Plymouth Rock can get off the mark.
