Nonrunner

In depth

Verdict

NOCHE DE REYES can get the better of Ting Ting and Mount Athos in a tricky opener. Ting Ting has run well on his latest starts-both visits to Redcar, scoring last time. He is only 4lbs higher here, though his win came at a mile and he has an extra quarter of a mile to travel here. The less exposed Mount Athos has run well on his last two starts, not beaten far, and appears well treated. He looks sure to run his race and looks a threat. Noche de Reyes is still a maiden in 10 starts, but he ran well last time, staying on well close home to be second at Carlisle. A couple of the runners that day have since been placed in subsequent contests, and the handicapper has left the gelding on the same mark. The booking of champion jockey Ryan Moore may illicit further improvement and Noche de Reyes can register his first success.
