Verdict
In this sprint, Orphan gets the vote just ahead of Wrighty Almighty, with Paris Bell possibly proving best of the rest. There is plenty to like about the way that Orphan won at Ripon last time, not least because he beat subsequent Royal Ascot at York runner-up Beckermet. He appears to have e more improvement in him and looks set to go well today. Paris Bell looks to hold the edge on Sentiero Rosso based on soft-ground Ripon form in May, but both look vulnerable to the selection and the quickly improving Wrighty Almighty, who runs again quickly following a decisive handicap debut win at Newmarket last Saturday. He is very much respected, though. Danzili Bay was beaten from his revised mark last time so might be vulnerable too, while Chief Scout drops back to sprinting following some beaten runs. It would hard to be strong on the other pair, which brings us back to Orphan, who gets the vote.
