In a tricky race, we will side with Soba Jones ahead of Bluebok, Winthorpe and Law Maker. There is no doubt that this is competitive but, also, that Soba Jones is well weighted based on his best form of last summer. These sprinters tend to win in their turn and it might be his today. Bluebok came good at Bath last time and still looks reasonably weighted. Tommy Smith has got a suitable draw but he was disappointing at Catterick three days ago. The Fisio looked set for return to form last time, in which case he could be fancied if at his best, while Winthorpe is another that looks competitively weighted, as do Coranglais, who comes here on the back of a Nottingham win, and Law Maker, who is fresh from a Catterick success - where he finished ahead of Tommy Smith - while King Egbert could yet improve and win races this year. He is certainly on a mark to do just that for his canny trainer but, for today, we will side with Soba Jones.
