In depth
Verdict
With further rain forecast, Scottish Champion Hurdle winner In Contrast may not have the fast ground that he craves and looks worth taking on here with improving novice Laouen just getting the verdict over another unexposed hurdler Man O'Mystery. The selection remains undefeated over hurdles and, while this represents a step up in class for the son of Funny Baby, Len Lungo's gelding impressed greatly at Perth recently. He is taken to win this before being switched to the larger obstacles. Former useful flat horse Man O'Mystery is open to plenty of improvement over timber after just three starts but looks to have plenty of weight for what he has achieved. Mary Reveley's Loop The Loup has been a consistent performer in similar company all last season and warrants respect but a 4lb rise since winning at Wetherby last month leaves him with more to do. Altay just gets into the weights proper and is another worthy of a mention along with the in-form Cita Verda, who has to race from 4lbs out of the handicap.
