In depth
Verdict
Milligan displayed sterling qualities to force his head in front at Ayr last time and gained just reward for his consistency last season. He meets Intersky Falcon on much better terms than he did at Aintree and although he is still 6lb higher than when he won this last year, he has to be considered for a repeat bid. The ground seems to be the key to Intersky Falcon and any rain would dampen the edge off his chance. However, he is a good battler and will not go down without a fight. Rain would on the other hand be a godsend for The French Furze, who ran no sort of race last time and needs all the help he can get to vanquish the memories of his last two outings if he is to figure strongly today. Fait Le Jojo had this race mentioned for him immediately after scoring at Ascot last month and should give a good account of himself. As should Tucacas even though he failed to cope with a 9lb rise in the ratings last time. Gralmano is still open to improvement over hurdles and could surprise a few from 1lb out of the handicap.
