Verdict
There are a number of form lines to follow here but none can be pinpointed as a solid indication to the winner. A good example is Polar Impact, who looked to have got the hang of things on his reappearance at Newcastle but he failed to build on that effort last time, whereas Indian Country benefited from the run to score a decent prize at Newmarket last month. A shortlist can be drawn up of almost half the field that cannot be discounted from going close, but Aldantino is one who has shaped with a lot of promise and receives a tentative vote ahead of Short Respite and Brilliant Basil.
