Verdict
Reel Buddy is on a roll and is on for the hat-trick if he copes with the cut in the ground. However, his finishing speed may be blunted if the ground comes up tacky and he will need to deliver his challenge a little sooner than he did last time. Late Night Out has no such doubts about the ground but his 7lb penalty for winning a Group 3 race at Goodwood is more of a concern. That said he does have the class to overcome the burden and has to be considered as he bids to win this for the second year in succession. Welcome Friend is shaping up well and will not mind a bit of give underfoot. The extra furlong should see him get closer to Reel Buddy than last time. Umistim has plenty of decent form to his name and this would appear to be his level after failing short of the mark at the highest grade. Seven furlongs and soft ground should be ideal for him and another bold show is expected. Patsy¿s Double and the two fillies in the field will need to put in lifetime best efforts if they are to trouble the principles but all are open to improvement and more will be apparent post race.
