Verdict

There was lots to like about the performance of Tiyoun at Ripon last week and we take him to follow up here from Nakwa and Sadler's Pride. Tiyoun is set to go up by 8lb after this, and gets a 5lb penalty for his one length defeat of Red Sun, which was over two miles on faster ground than this. Nevertheless, he clearly stays very strongly on that evidence, as he was the only serious pursuer of the winner, and he can put that to good use in this more stamina sapping ground to follow up. Any chinks in his armoury will be exposed by Nakwa. A five length winner from Northern Nymph last time out over course and distance, Eric Alston's six-year-old does not mind the softening ground and is a consistent sort who looks nailed on for each-way punters if you can get the price. Similarly, Sadler's Pride looks one for the frame judged on some decent form, notably last time out when stepped up to this trip at Nottingham. That was also on this sort of ground, so there are no worries on that score, and this trio look likely to have things between them, but we will stick with Tiyoun to improve again and score.
