        Verdict

        The ability to handle the ground has to be taken on trust with the majority of these but Sew'n'so Character shaped as if cut in the ground should not be a problem and he is preferred over Scholarship and Fox Covert. Although a move for Cracking Rosie will also be interesting. However, Sew'n'so Character, one of the more expensive purchases in the field, displayed a very good attitude in his narrow defeat at Windsor and can gain compensation with a similar effort today. The low draw is not such a disadvantage at Haydock these days and he should make a bold bid to lose his maiden tag. Scholarship and Fox Covert have also shaped as if there are races to be won with them in time, but are just passed over in favour of Sew'n'so Character today.
