Verdict
Clive Cox's pair Dunelight and Beacon Lodge would probably prefer better ground but conditions shouldn't bother REDFORD, who finished second on similar going in the 6f conditions race on this card last year. Dandy Nicholls' gelding had Kakatosi behind when winning at Ascot in September and made a satisfactory reappearance at Thirsk. He can resume winning ways here and looks a better bet than stablemate Lovelace, who finished behind the front-running Duff and Dunelight at Leicester three weeks ago. The Cheka was just touched off at the Curragh on his reappearance while Folly Bridge loves fast ground and was still improving in the autumn - she gets a handy weight allowance.
