Verdict
Eqleem and stablemate Aleko are both previous course winners. The former may have needed his reappearance in a hot handicap at York and has possibilities but the latter has become expensive to follow. Albernathy is another entitled to have needed his first run of the campaign while Galvanize won over this trip at Chelmsford before appearing to find 1m2f too far at Newmarket. Sunnua won a fillies' maiden at Catterick in the autumn, despite being hampered, but CARNAGEO (NAP) looks to be Richard Fahey's stable pick and is probably a step ahead of the handicapper judged on his demolition job at Ripon – a penalty may not prevent a follow-up.
