      Verdict

Glenridding can defy a penalty to score here at the main expense of Pitbull and Tanforan. The selection hails from a stable in good form and he was an easy winner at Thirsk last week. He again has conditions to suit so a 6lbs penalty is unlikely to be enough to stop him in his tracks. Pitbull has certainly got the ability to win this race but he is far from straightforward and he looked a little reluctant to win his race when the opportunity presented itself last time out. Tanforan finished in mid-division in a handicap at Carlisle last time and he looks to have place prospects, but he has only managed one win in the last three years so he clearly has his limitations. Society Music has the talented Neil Brown on board and he is a course and distance winner so he could go well at a price, but for the winner we will stick with Glenridding.
