Verdict
Polish Pride, Metroland and Cutting Comments are the three for shortlist here and the vote is given to Metroland. Mark Johnston's filly goes from strength to strength and there was plenty to like about the way she won last time when she beat Smalljohn at Beverley. The form has since been franked by Smalljohn who ran out an easy winner at Thirsk, so Metroland's claims are fairly obvious. Polish Pride could give her the most to think about as Mel Brittain's filly wasn't beaten far in a decent race at Newmarket last time and if she replicates that form here then she should not be far away. Cutting Comments will handle this cut in the ground and he remains unexposed, while something was clearly amiss with Sweet Smile last time at Hamilton as he ran too bad to be true. A decent race this and Metroland can add to her winning tally.
