With no racecourse evidence to go in in the opener punters will need to look for all the clues going and one of the first places to start will be the betting ring. King Of Wands, Murhee, Print and Wingwalker are the only runners that currently have engagements in Group races taking place this season so it seems reasonable for them to form the short-list with the pin falling on Print. Their Group race entries are hopefully an indication that they have been pleasing their connections at home but it would be daft to rule out runners from the Hannon and Chapple-Hyam yards purely on that basis. Mick Channon has a good line on his juveniles and Print is bred to perform this year. King Of Wands is definitely of interest but he may well improve for this outing as may Murhee who hails from a yard whose only other two year old runner this season looks a decent sort. Henry Cecil has a good strike rate with his youngsters so far this season and Wingwalker is a beautifully bred individual. Whether, he, and the others, will live up to that on the track or not only time will tell but we'll take Print to make the headlines tonight.
