Verdict
Meydan City can take another step forwards and land this contest with By Command and Siberian Tiger rated the main dangers. The selection showed promise on debut despite returning a beaten favourite at odds-on but relished the step up to ten furlongs when winning a decent maiden at the July meeting. There was a lot to like about that performance and he can take this step up in class in his stride. By Command rates the principal threat as he wasn't beaten far in the Lingfield Derby Trial in May; he's been given plenty of time by his trainer and should have more to offer. Paveroc and Siberian Tiger are both more exposed and are not without hope on the pick of their form but there has to be a big doubt about them being able to reproduce it here and Meydan City is the clear pick.
