Verdict
A poor maiden by Haydock standards and the well-bred Baffle should be capable of disposing of Burning Moon and Tytheknot. John Dunlop's charge finished second to the well regarded Why Dubai at Newmarket over seven furlongs and as a daughter of Selkirk, we will take it on trust that she should be capable of handling the prevailing ground conditions. Burning Moon hails from the yard of Jeremy Noseda. He blew his chance on his previous start at Kempton through tardiness out of the boxes. He stayed on well and will be capable of winning a maiden at some stage this year. Tytheknot ran a career best to finish second at huge odds to Mr Tambourine Man at Musselburgh. The time on that day was only fractionally outside the course record. Grand Terre looks the pick of the James Given contingent. We will stick with Baffle to get off the mark on this occasion.
