      Verdict

      Last year’s Cambridgeshire winner Wissahickon developed into a smart performer on Polytrack last winter. He’s only been beaten once so far on Turf but has to give 3lb here to ADDEYBB (NAP). A Group 2 winner last year, the latter easily landed the Listed Wolfreton Stakes at Royal Ascot in June before coming up against a rejuvenated Elarqaam in a Group 2 at York and he boasts the best form on offer – further rain would be a massive plus. Wadilsafa didn’t appear to stay this trip last year but Surrey Thunder placed twice in this grade before his fifth in the German Derby and Pondus arrives off the back of a career-best second in a Listed race at Newbury.
