The only recent blemish on Barkston Ash's record was when dropped to 5f at Chester last month. He's a strapping gelding so it was no surprise that he failed to handle the Roodeye's turns but he bounced back at Warwick earlier this month and there's no reason why he won't go close here. Thirteen Shivers has won at York and Ripon this year and is on the upgrade while York Glory has yet to finish out of the first three in five starts, though is upped in class now. Cinderkamp was successful twice as a two-year-old and got back on the winning trail at Newcastle last month but we like the look of SHESASTAR off a comparatively low weight. David Barron's filly needs a strongly-run race but should get that here and her Doncaster win has been franked by the subsequent success of third Fast Shot.
