In depth
Verdict
The shortlist here consists of Rebel Rhythm, Classic Capers, All Things Equal, Classical Ben and Rio Hombre, with the confident vote going to Rebel Rhythm. Rebel Rhythm certainly looked a horse with a future here two runs ago and, even though he was beaten at Aintree last time, he may have met a good one there and can get back to winning ways today. Classic Capers' and All Things Equals' form is fair if unspectacular and it will be disappointing if the selection cannot take care of them. Baron Monty looked decent when last seen, but that was a long time ago now, while Classical Ben's third behind Basilea Star last time has been franked with the winner scoring since. He holds place claims, with the Nicky Henderson-trained Rio Hombre, who has won his bumper, looking the most interesting of the others, although Tanners Court could well improve for his seasonal return. Overall, though, we are more than happy to side with Rebel Rhythm.
