      Verdict

Conditions and trip suit STAGE RIGHT, who was third over course and distance in a handicap earlier in the campaign and might now be good enough to score, while Robin Des Bank and King High are also considered. The last-named wears cheek pieces for the first time and represents the Jonjo O'Neill and Tony McCoy combination. Four starts under rules thus far have told us little about his ability, but there is likely to be some and the headgear might help to bring it out, so he is respected. Robin Des Bank showed his first piece of worthwhile form last time when not beaten too far at Towcester and fast ground suits. The break may have done him good and he is likely to be able to handle this step up in trip. Kayceecee has been on the slide over fences and now reverts to hurdling. When last seen in this sphere he was racing off a mark of 111, so he a very much a threat if he retains any sort of ability. Even so, we will take a chance on Stage Right. Simon Lewis's gelding has plummeted in the weights after being beaten a street a few times. The return to this trip will be a plus, his mark is now very low and he acts on fast ground, so we hope he can produce the goods at a decent price.
