    Verdict

A poor maiden bumper that can probably be taken by DRUMBALOO, while Over The Way, Via Roma and Back At The Ranch are all scrutinised. The selection won a maiden point in Ireland when last seen in November and would not have to be a star to land this. The champion jockey is clearly a good man to have on our side here, and the drop back in trip should not be an issue at this level, so provided he doesn't hate the quicker ground he can score. Over The Way was unlucky to slip-up last time, so we were unable to tell whether there had been any real improvement for his first run. Alison King has given him plenty of time before running him again and may be able to show more as a result. Via Roma met with a bit of trouble in running at Uttoxeter but should have benefited from that experience and can go well, while Back At The Ranch should also strip fitter for his debut. As it is, Tellemall Brother is the only newcomer here and although moderately bred, if David Evans has him fit first time then it wouldn't be a huge surprise to see him involved, but Drumbaloo is the selection.
