Verdict
This looks set to go the way of recent French import Spring Lover, who claimed the scalp of Crystal D'Ainay just before Christmas. The latter showed that form to be solid when bolting up at Uttoxeter over the weekend and Venetia Williams' four-year-old should have little difficulty getting off the mark over here. Allude, the winner of a 12-furlong maiden at Limerick last year, hasn't exactly looked as though he is a winner waiting to happen, but such is the quality of this event, or more to the point lack of it, he may be the one to chase the selection home. Manoram, who showed promise on the flat in Germany, needs to improve on his debut at Kempton, but Ian Williams' string were out of sorts at the time, so he could well leave that effort behind.
