Verdict
A disappointing turnout considering there were 30 entries at the five day stage. Most of these are out of sorts and in selecting Jorodama King, we are hoping he will show improvement for his outing last month, his first since October. He does have form on this faster surface and is actually running off the same mark as when winning at Plumpton last year. The fly in the ointment could be Felix Randal, who hails from a top yard and is not over-faced in this. Perk Alert, a useful hurdler at best (rated 101), has yet to convince over fences, but this is a moderate contest and would be something of a certainty off his current chase mark (66), if he retains a modicum of ability. Dunnicks View and Seef are the only other runners of note, but the former has yet to win away from Taunton and may also find this ground too fast, while Seef hasn't always looked straightforward and the day he wins you can normally afford not to be with him.
