Verdict
Doldrum Bay was beaten 13 lengths by BREAKING THE ICE (NAP) at Perth in July. He is 11lb better off now but looks one-paced and George Bewley’s novice is better than he showed at Cartmel subsequently. Real Armani was running well here in the spring and looks a danger if ready to roll after a break but it’s difficult to make much of a case for the others.
