Verdict

TOULOUSE EXPRESS won well for today's pilot at Southwell 10 days ago and will be a tough customer to deal with if he is in the same frame of mind. Red Jester and It's Bertie are others to keep in mind. The last named has been consistently making the frame since he switched to fences and deserves a change of fortune. However, his habit of being out battled is a touch frustrating and he needs everything to go his way. Red Jester goes well fresh and won¿t mind the state of the ground. He does start the campaign on a career highest mark but is connections will surely be hoping he is a bit better than an 86-rated chaser. However, Toulouse Express is obviously thriving just now and, as Paul Callaghan seemed to click with him straight away, this wily of character is taken as the most reliable of the bunch drawn together here.
