Verdict
This looks a match between Full Irish and Mister McGoldrick on hurdling form and the confident vote goes to Full Irish. The gelding from the Len Lungo yard got a favourable mention in a recent stable tour, and if he jumps well on this his chasing debut he will be hard to beat with conditions in his favour. Mister McGoldrick was another fair sort over hurdles. He finished sixth in the Fighting Fifth Hurdle behind The French Furze last time, and could run our selection close. But his best form to date has been with more cut in the ground, so for that reason he is opposed. Artic Lagoon is another worthy of respect as at least he has experience over chase fences. He was third behind Family Venture and Khan Kicker last time but if the principles run to their potential, he will need to improve to score. Always Rainbows is from a yard in form but has become disappointing of late over hurdles. The switch to fences may revive his fortunes and he could go well at a fair price, but Full Irish gets the nod in a tight affair.
