Verdict

This is a meeting that Tom George has obviously targeted for his runners and the Gloustershire-based trainer looks to have his best chance of a winner with Redskin Raider, who is selected in preference to Why The Big Paws, who has been a little frustrating to follow but does hold a fair bit of ability. Richard Guest's charge does stay well though and will make this a good test. Whereas there have to be doubts about Melford and Albert House, as neither have proved themselves over three miles. That cannot be said of Redskin Raider, who fairly hacked up in maiden chase over this trip at Perth in July. The fact that he had also gone close over hurdles in some very good company also strengthens the case for the son of Commanche Run. So Redskin Raider looks the obvious one to beat Why The Big Paws in a race that may return the best dividend with a straight forecast play.
